Simply a photobook. Not all of the photos are shot in the spirit of Japanese kinbaku. Some of them does not even depict traditional kinbaku. Only few sessions are actually worth a look. For this price... I totally don't recommend it, both as photographer and a rigger. "The beauty of kinbaku" from Master K is definitely much better choice.

This book was absolutely beautiful! It surpassed all my expectations and I learned so much. Every page and photo was full of detailed descriptions, emotions and empowerment. The backstories were provocative and allowed the person to give truth to the freedom of Kinbaku. As I search for more on this subject, I hope to purchase something else from this author and seller again.

When this book originally came out, there were not great Grammar books for the GMAT and this was the best one (the only one too). It no longer is, however. If it is the only grammar resource you can find (there are some free ones), I would recommend it. However, most people would probably NOT need this book, a copy of Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction should do it for you and esp that the MGMAT Verbal Foundations book is out (that nicely integrates with MGMAT SC, this book lost its appeal)Foundations of GMAT Verbal (Manhattan Gmat Strategy Guide: Verbal Gmat Supplement Guide)Sentence Correction GMAT Strategy Guide, 5th Edition (Manhattan Gmat Strategy Guide: Instructional Guide)Hopefully this will get you started. Much like the journalists who documented the 1930's depression, this book provides a 30 year perspective of the destruction of the American middle class. The personal stories read like a novel, and were both heart breaking and uplifting. The American spirit has been trampled on, but will rise again. The stories criss-cross the country and follow some of the same families over the same 30 year period. The choices and optimism average Americans showed is inspirational. I highly recommend to anyone interested in current events and history. This book will make you think and ask - what would I do?

Wonderful book

The book gives insight as to how the homeless manage to survive and how the homeless became homeless. Its hard to believe that this is happening go n our land of plenty.

I would just echo what other reviewers have written. The best description is sobering and I too could only read the book in smail sections. The stories of our fellow citizens are so overwhelming. I looked at the photos taken by Michael Williamson and thought how they looked like old pictures you would find from the Dust Bowl during the Depression. Unfortunately, they are from the present. This book is a stunning look into the widing income gap in America and the Americans of all races, beliefs and location who are being left behind.

the whole book is deeply moving; the idea of locating people over many years is powerful. These people are America too, they have things to tell, to teach all of us and they should motivate us to make the change that is needed and which has not happened yet.

I got on to this book through a New Yorker a article by George Packer. Most journalism about the Great Recession has missed the most dispossessed among us. Dale, a distinguished Columbia University professor and veteran newspaper reporter, finds them. He convincingly shows how the forces hollowing out our economy have decimated many honest and hard working citizens. The prose is plain and gritty. The accompanying photo journalism is bleak and moving. Gil Thelen, Clendinen Professor of Critical Writing, University of South Florida, and retired editor/publisher Tampa Tribune.

This is a book that actually spans many downturns in the US economy, and how many segments of society get left behind. From riding the rails across the southern UN, to shaking up in hobo encampments in Sacramento or Youngstown, this is a story told over and over, we are letting ourselves down.

When you purchase a book of stickers called “Flags of the World” you should get the flag from every country, not a partial collection. I was planning on documenting my travels with the flag of each country I visit with my favorite messenger bag by sticking the appropriate one inside of the bag, but I guess I have to settle for some of them. Really peeved about that. I guess I should have read some reviews and not just buy the first thing I thought was what I was looking for.

Great for any young kid who likes flags. Being that these are stickers makes it more versatile as oppose to being just a book, but I thought the images should be more crisp. Some of the flags look digitally made and others look hand drawn, so I thought that was a bit strange. The graphics are just okay, but the 7 year old I purchased it for really liked it. Pages are just flags with the name of the country beneath it, along with a number. When you take the sticker off, the name stays on the book so you'll have to remember the country that goes with the sticker. There's a black outlined map on the back that has numbers which helps you see where the country is by finding the number that goes with the sticker. If you are buying for someone who loves flags, then they will enjoy this, otherwise might want to think about just getting a book instead.

My 6-year-old and I spent the summer learning about different countries, reading both fiction and non-fiction about them. I made him a "passport" and bought these stickers so he could add a flag each time we finished reading about a country. He loves looking through the sticker book over and over, and when we passed a downtown hotel with a dozen flags flying out front he was able to name every country! The stickers are good quality and colorful. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

These stickers were great except for the fact that they don't stick very well, at least not on fabric. Other than that, they arrived as expected and are very colorful.

These are perfect for educating yourself or others about the world and how countries have different flags. The children who used these were excited to have them.
